Proposed Agenda

We encourage everyone to respect each other's time and try to participate on time.

Goals of the Meeting
  1. To provide newcomers or remind other attendants of the general purpose of DFA.
  2. To consider and discuss Fall elections, national DFA positions and priorities.
  3. To consider and discuss organizational structure regarding our effectiveness, challenges, and problems.
  4. To consider our plans both in the short-term and long-term.
Meeting Agenda

5 Minutes:

Ask for someone to facilitate meeting.
Ask for someone to be the time keeper.
Ask for someone to write the meeting minutes.

2-10 Minutes:

Review Agenda and ask for revisions, additions, changes.

5-10 Minutes:

Ask someone to provide short description of the general purpose of the DFA.

10-15 Minutes:

Updates
  • National DFA
  • Candidate endorsements--see Fall Elections
  • Downing Street Memos
  • Supreme Court Nominations
  • End of meetup.com communication network
  • New organizing tools on DFA website
  • Eastern Mass. regional group

10-15 Minutes:

Fall Elections
  • Actions for endorsed candidates.
  • Consider other endorsements? If so, what process to follow?
  • Possible candidate forum after 9/23/05 preliminary election.
  • Volunteers needed for endorsed candidates.
  • Letters of recommendation to DFA HQ.
  • Other assistance to endorsed candidates?
  • Other non-Boston endorsed candidates.
  • Volunteer sign-up sheet for candidates at our meeting?
